After five years of design, testing, and fieldwork, we are proud to introduce the Margo Luminous Satellite Tracking Collar. At its core, it’s built to help us better understand wildlife in a way that’s minimally invasive and highly effective.
The collar uses a compact, single-housing design and is powered by solar energy, allowing for long-term deployment in remote environments. It gathers GPS locations every hour and, when conditions allow, sends that data back in near real-time. For researchers, that means a clearer, more immediate picture of animal movement without needing to be in the field every day.
But this collar is about more than just technology. It represents the broader goal of finding smarter, more humane ways to coexist with wildlife. Whether it’s understanding migration routes or monitoring species in conflict-prone areas, this tool helps inform better decisions for both animals and people.
Follow us on MargoTV and watch the journey from idea to implementation, including field trials, unexpected lessons, and the stories that emerge when tech meets the wild.
